Dr, Senior Researcher and Scientific Associate in Communities of Practice.
Olga Fragou has received her degree in Classics (1994) and Ph D in Pedagogy (2009) both from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Philology and Pedagogy respectively). She specializes in instructional design models and methodologies, the design and development of training programs and educational material involving the use of web based and software technologies. Since 2012 she has worked as a scientific associate-instructional designer in Hellenic Open University (SP5/ESPA “Educational Content Methodology and Technology Lab”, as Head of the Learning Activities Team with subject the design of educational activities in HOU Courses, ToT programs and updating of existing educational methodologies in HOU. Recently she has become a member of the scientific personnel of the Daissy research team, as a senior researcher (scientific associate) specialising in instructional design methods by using state of the art technologies and Communities of Practice.She has been a program committee member in European Conferences and since 2001 she has single- or co-authored manuscripts published in national and international conferences. Dr. Fragou has conducted research in adult education and developed training programs in Hellenic Open University (since 2012). She has also designed educational environments (using authoring tools and LMS platforms) and developed educational courses for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses in Athens University (2005-2008) and worked as a Scientific Associate in School of Pedagogical and Technological Education. She speaks English fluently and French. She is member of the Hellenic Scientific Society of Technologies, Information and Communication in Education .
